Maingear announced today that it’s releasing a new version of its ML-17 gaming laptop, this one with a 17-inch screen and Thunderbolt 5 support. Developed in collaboration with Clevo, the new ML-17 is designed to offer a generous screen size for gamers while keeping the laptop portable and flexible with connectivity options. It also contains a 14th-gen Intel Core i9 14900HX processor, WiFi 7 and an Nvidia GeForce RTX 4090 GPU.
The ML-17’s new specs include a 17.3″ QHD display that supports Nvidia G-Sync, an advanced cooling system and a full-color RPG keyboard with a numeric keypad. The laptop’s dual Thunderbolt 5 ports can be used for data transfer, dual 6k monitors (or a single 8k monitor) and peripheral connections.
Wallace Santos, Maingear CEO, said in a statement, “Continuing our partnership with CLEVO and Intel, our new collaboratively-developed 17-inch ML-17 gaming laptop raises the bar on what gaming laptops should be capable of delivering in terms of performance and overall value. Packed full of the latest, high-performance components, including the most powerful CPUs and GPUs available on the market, as well as premium specs like Thunderbolt 5 and Wi-Fi 7, this laptop delivers a top-tier gaming experience that parallels the kind of high-performance desktop-like gameplay that gamers demand, all in a backpackable form factor.”
The ML-17 offers several customization options, including the addition of up to three 4TB SSDs and up to 64GB of DDR5 RAM. The laptop is currently available to purchase from Maingear at a starting price of $3,899.
